A snapshot of the Class of 2013’s post-graduation plans
The Class of 2013 recently joined the ranks of Bryn Mawr alumnae around the nation and around the world. Here’s where some of them are heading after graduation.
CALIFORNIA & ARIZONA: Biology major Christine Wheaton is an instructor at High Trails, an outdoor education school in Big Bear; economics major Shunning Yang joined the Pantheon Group, a San Francisco consulting firm; psychology and sociology double major Rachel Shen joined Yelp.com as an associate account executive trainee.
FINLAND: Math major Camilla Monotonen returned home to pursue a computer science degree at the University of Helsinki.
GEORGIA: Biology major Sara Fielder enrolled in a genetics and molecular biology program at Emory University.
JAPAN: Elizabeth Wiseman, a linguistics and languages major, joined a corporate staff trainee program at a pharmaceutical company in Tokyo.
HONG KONG: Math major Wendy Huang joined the asset management division of the UCF Group as an analyst.
IRELAND: Psychology major Sarajane Rodgers joined a master’s program in psychology at the University of Limerick.
MARSHALL ISLANDS: Chemistry major Ellen Butler joined a year-and-a-half-long mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
NEW ENGLAND: Tonima Ananna is studying physics at Yale; Ning Pei is studying urban planning at Harvard; Hao Jiang is working for Ernst & Young; Amelia Eichengreen is interning at the Yale Art Gallery.
NEW YORK & NEW JERSEY: Maisha Rahman is studying chemistry at Stony Brook University; Yashaswini Singh is studying public administration at Columbia; Evelyn Pan is in Cornell’s applied statistics program; Yichun Fu will conduct research at the Tisch Cancer Institute; Alliya Akhtar will study geoscience at Princeton; Sarah Shaw is with Teach for America in Newark; Susan Gao will pursue an internship at Women’s World Banking through Bryn Mawr’s Women for the World program.
PENNSYLVANIA & DELAWARE: Lara Belasco will study occupational therapy at Thomas Jefferson University; Leigh Schaefer is studying physics at Penn; Jessica Watkins is at Villanova Law School; Anh Duong Nguyen and Bianca Boranda joined Chatham Financial; Hannah Ryles is a research technician at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; Laura Reeve is at Girls Rock Philly; Erika Nunez is at Raices Culturales Latinoamericanas; Jacinda Tran is a Project HOME Philly Fellow; Ariele Martinez and Josephine Nyame are with the Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience; Ariel Furman is a lab technician with Dupont.
RUSSIA: Alumnae Regional Scholar Kristina Kronauer, a Russian major and biology minor, is moving to Penza, 400 miles southeast of Moscow, to work on a large dairy farm for a year before attending veterinary school for food-animal medicine.
WASHINGTON, D.C.: Maiya Zwerling is at the Friends Committee on National Legislation in the Middle East policy department; Jomaira Salas is working for the Posse Foundation; Yulia Belyakova is working for Analysis Group; Shawn Orenstein is at the Smithsonian American Art Museum; Madhavika Bajoria is pursuing an internship at CARE through Bryn Mawr’s Women for the World program.
